To make your own oat milk you need 1 cup of oats. This is about a hundred grams oats and you need to soak them overnight in cold water or 20 minutes in warm water. Any Pitfalls To Be Aware Of?

It is not considered a significant source of protein compared to traditional cow’s milk. Some brands fortify dairy milk with Vitamin D and calcium which support bone health but cows milk has more nutritional value. And just like all food products, before it’s on the table read the label. Some varieties sneak in unnecessary added sugar oils like canola oil during the manufacturing process to maintain structure and viscosity. But it’s such a small percentage added to the beverage. Therefore, no big deal!

Wrapping Up

It has very different protein fat and vitamin content than traditional cows milk. In addition, just because it’s considered milk people shouldn’t assume that it holds the same nutritional value as dairy milk. Nevertheless, it is a great alternative for those with dairy or lactose allergies.
