BMI or Body Mass Index is a measurement of height and weight specifically used to determine if someone is obese, overweight, underweight or normal. The BMI score for people who are obese is 30+. Some experts will claim that you’re not medically considered obese until your BMI hits 40+.

This means if you are currently at a healthy weight (BMI between 19 – 25) you need to keep yourself from gaining ANY additional pounds throughout the year because those few extra pounds will increase your risk of all those conditions listed above, but not below the line where you will slip into the underweight category.
